When purchasing an emergency beacon, you can safely choose a McMurdon EPIRB or PLB device. Keep in mind that a MMSI number is needed when ordering an EPIRB. Regarding PLB, remember to get the required permit from you local communications regulatory authority. The EPIRB and PLB transmitters are encoded with Your information before shipping, therefore the delivery time is 3-5 weekdays after ordering.
